We had a great themed week in November. We discussed what we were thankful for. We compared and contrasted pilgrim kids in the past and us now. We also made butter like they did in the past. We used adjectives in our writing to describe deliciously sweet pies! We learned about the way Native Americans wrote and discussed the similarities and differences between their writing and ours. We read the book
The Day the Crayons Quit, it was a wonderful book about how we need to use all of the crayons in our drawings! We also read the book
Setting the Turkeys Free. After the book we created turkeys just like the ones we saw in the book. We ended the week with our kindergarten families and had a Cultural Feast!
If I went on the Mayflower, I would bring....
We made butter!!! We observed a liquid change into a solid and we were amazed that we did that with our own hands!
Then we had a chance to taste it!
