Grade: Kindergarten

Hi! My name is Mrs. Meck and I love being a part of  the Harmony School System. More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your child's Kindergarten teacher. It's going to be a year full of learning and new adventures. I am excited to learn all about your child but I am going to start by telling you a few things about myself.

I was born and raise in McHenry, Illinois and I am the oldest of two.  I have a younger sister named Kristin. I went to college at Eastern Illinois University and studied Elementary Education with a minor in Science. 

 After college, my husband and I moved down to Texas to be closer to his family. We have two dogs, which you will hear a lot about I'm sure, named Mattie and Wrigley. Mattie is a Chinese share pei and Wrigley is a Chinese shar pei and yellow lab mix. We just bought a house this summer so I have officially put roots in Austin and I am extremely excited to be here for a while! 

 I have previously taught kindergarten at Harmony School of Innovation in Dallas for three years and this will be my second year at Harmony School of Political Science!  I absolutely love teaching  kindergarten and couldn't see myself doing anything else!
