Happy Spring Y’all!
I heard that many parents are feeling the same way I am about handwriting
it needs some cleaning up! Over spring break I would like you to work with your
child on this handwriting packet. This not a race through it and write the
letters down on the paper, I would like your child to take their time and
correctly form their letters. I will be checking this to see that lowercase
letters are not above the dotted line and that there are no “floating” letters.
This means that all letters should be hitting two lines and not just in the
white space. These students have amazed me with their writing skills this year
but I think that the formation of the letters is lacking.
We will continue
practicing penmanship after Spring Break but this will be a nice refresher on
those days that you might need a little quiet time!
