Earth Day

We learned all about how to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and  Earth day this week. On Monday, we created anchor charts about how to protect the Earth and how we harm the Earth. On Tuesday, we learned how to reduce, reuse, and recycle.On Wednesday, sang an Earth Day song about having the who world in our hands. We created a hand print earth and made our promises to the Earth. On Thursday, we went on an Earth Day Scavenger Hunt. The students had to find 3 leafs and create leaf rubbings, look find 3 flowers and write the location they found them, find 2 interestingly shaped rocks, pinecones, or acorns, pick up 5 pieces of trash, and write down 2 different wildlife they found. I have a class full of scientists that enjoy using their clipboards to investigate and write down their findings! On Friday, we watched the Lorax movie and filled out applications to be the next Lorax!
